Despite the headline, the article indicates that a large proportion of these boys were not teenage, many being under five. It seems that the staggering medical establishment’s ignorance of normal male genital development continues. Most of these cases of “phimosis” in young boys will not have been an adverse medical condition at all but normal development. It seems that many doctors still do not know that the foreskin does not fully retract in young boys. The age at which full retraction freely occurs is very variable but is often later than 10.
