Women suffering with issues such as addiction and trauma are set to benefit from a pioneering new centre designed to tackle the root causes of low-level female offending.

Needless to say, no new “centres” are planned for men with identical or similar “root causes” for offending. The state is more concerned with reducing the number of women in prison from the current number of around 5,000, about 5% of the total. William notes:

This is where women in Wales will be sent instead of prison. There are no women’s prisons in Wales.
