A truly appalling article in The Spectator, but we shouldn’t be surprised at the paper publishing it. It has published 50+ articles by Julie Bindel alone, many of them pushing the long-discredited ‘male control’ theory of domestic violence – the Duluth model – while refusing to print an advert in which we were presenting the truth about domestic violence, including that in two-thirds of heterosexual relationships in which the violence is uni-directional, the perpetrator is the woman, the victim the man. My letter to Fraser Nelson, editor, from May 2021, remains unanswered to this day.
